SIGN UP
The sign up sheets are posted on the bulletin board in the club house 2 months in advance. Indicate the days you wish to play with a check mark on that day. The Tee Time sheets will be made up and posted on the bulletin board and on this web page 8 days prior to each play date. 

CANCELLATION
The player may phone Gord Gitzel at 780 436-8756 before the day of play to change or cancel his tee time. You may also send an email using the form on the Contact page. On the day of play, the player should call the pro-shop (780 496-4710 or 311) to cancel their tee time.

ARRIVAL TIME
Check in and be ready to play 15 minutes before your tee time.

DESK DUTY VOLUNTEERS
Two volunteers are needed for desk duty each Wednesday, one for Early duty (7:30 or 8:00 AM depending on the month) and one for late duty (9:00 or 9:30) These people make up scorecards to match the tee time sheet and make adjustments as necessary to fill cancelled tee times. Members are encouraged to volunteer for desk duty at least once a season. You will get to meet the club members and have a few laughs at the same time.
A sign up sheet for desk duty is posted on the bulletin board in the locker room.

SCORECARDS
Please make sure that all the scores for each hole are legible and you have entered each players first and last name. After your round, turn in and place it in the wire basket in the pro-shop – Join your playing partners and other club members upstairs in the clubhouse for refreshments.

PACE OF PLAY
A round of golf (18 holes) should take less than four and one-half hours.   Be conscious of slow play and keep up with the group ahead, not just ahead of the group behind.   A group is out of position if there is an open hole ahead.

HONOURS IN GOLF (Order of Play)
In the majority of rounds with the Victoria Senior Men, the foursome determines the order of play–e.g. ‘ready golf’. 

In flighted draws, ‘honours’ determines the order of play. A player who has honours is the player who hits first from the tee box.  On the first tee, honours is determined by the draw. Thereafter, the player with the lowest score on the preceding hole gets honours on the next tee.  In the case of ties, order of hitting from the previous tee carries over. There is no penalty for playing out of order in stroke play (in match play, a golfer who goes out of order can be made to replay the shot without penalty).
